The Un Saddest Factory Theater Company will be performing two sort plays and a short video puppet piece:
"At the End of Infinite Rope", starring Mason Ross, is play about a loud, abrasive, drunk, and unhinged professor lecturing about civilization's inevitable march to its own destruction. Ross was awarded "Best Comedic Performance" by the Baltimore City Paper for his role in "At the End of Infinite Rope".
"The Title Sounded Better in French" is set not quite in reality, but the next town over. The two main characters are two young women who find themselves onstage in search of a project; They work out failures, address broken hearts, and wake up laughing. The piece premiered at The Access theatre in New York City and was also performed as a part of the 2009 Whartscape at the Baltimore Museum of Art.
Showbeast is a touring puppet show and video series created by Benjamin Beast, Erin Gleeson and Alan Resnick. Showbeast has been screened all across the country including the Baltimore Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art in Detroit, the Pop Montreal Music Festival, and the Pozen Center at MassArt. www.youtube.com/shwbst

10:00 A Weather
$10 at the door. BYOB
From deep within the confines of the storied Portland mist comes indie-folk outfit A Weather and their debut album, Cove, out March 4th on Team Love.
A postcard from the green and gray environs of Portland, Cove is moody and warm, rife with odes of looming loss, hopeful notes to self and hushed revelations that speak directly to the yearning heart. Produced by Adam Selzer (M. Ward, The Decemberists, Norfolk and Western), the songs on Cove are marked with an intimacy so striking that it feels like you’re eavesdropping on the pillow talk of two forlorn lovers. Indeed, this is music to curl up with.
At the core of AWeather’s warm, soft-spoken sounds are the comely vocals of frontman/singer/songwriter Aaron Gerber and singer/drummer Sarah Winchester. With remarkable restraint and understated delivery, their harmonies trace each other, cross paths, diverge and intertwine, undercutting the gravity of AWeather’s material. “In one way Cove is a catalogue of closely observed moments and particulars,” says Gerber. “In another it is an oddly inspirational document of transience and entropy and trying to keep yourself together when things are falling apart.”

Finn Riggins is an indie rock trio from Boise, ID. They released "A Soldier, A Saint, An Ocean Explorer" nationwide Nov. 13th, 2007 on Tender Loving Empire Records -- a Portland, OR based independent record label -- then followed up with their new full length "Vs Wilderness" on Oct. 13th, 2009. Both albums are in rotation at college and independent radio around the country. In the last couple years, Finn Riggins has toured the U.S. extensively, playing over 400 shows in 38 different states including appearances at esteemed festivals like the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City, Summer Meltdown north of Seattle, WA and Music Fest Northwest in Portland, OR. In November 2009 they toured the West with Built To Spill.
"One of the Top 50 Best New Bands in America" -- Boston Phoenix / Boston, MA / July 2009
"Most memorable performance (MFNW 2008 Portland, OR): Finn Riggins. The peak. They shocked and stunned: Truly amazing, like a locomotive storming into a barn. The Idaho band has one limited CD pressed, I recommend you snap it up quick, in years to come this could be the band you wish you were on the front wave of." -- Zaph Mann / Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) / regarding Music Fest Northwest set in Portland, OR on 9-5-08
"It's indie rock as it should be: knotty, quirky and wildly confident." -- Doug Wallen / SF Weekly / San Francisco, CA
"Just imagine starting with a base something akin to the off-kilter indie-slacker-pop tendencies of Pavement and/or Bound Stems but with male/female vocal trade offs and a whole lot of layering to differentiate the band... This is honest and adventurous music that still manages to be fun." -- Can You See The Sunset From The Southside / Chicago, IL
